PADI? SSI? What is that?  Which is better?

The training agency is a governing body that guides us on how to teach scuba courses.  Check out this page for more thoughts on training agencies.
There is no right answer as to which agency to choose, each have advantages.  SSI tends to have lower cost training materials, but it is all digital and can be an issue traveling overseas.  PADI is the most recognized name in scuba but their support both online and on the phone can be lacking.

Ultimately, your in water training will be excellent regardless of the agency.

Safe diving is more important than brand names.
